The Anarchy

Step into the turbulent world of 12th-century England and take on the role of an English noble in The Anarchy. At the end of 1135, Henry I died with no male heir, sparking a civil war between his daughter, Empress Matilda, and his nephew, Stephen de Blois. Over the next eighteen years, this conflict plunged the country into chaos, leading to a breakdown in law and order.

As a noble loyal to King Stephen, you must build your domain, defend your castle from the approaching Angevin armies, and storm strongholds loyal to Matilda with your own crafted siege weapons. The player who accumulates the most bravery, loyalty, influence, and might over five rounds will prove themselves the most loyal ally to King Stephen, earning his largest earldom.
