Description

Smash Up is a "shufflebuilding" card game that promises a unique gaming experience every time you play. The game starts with a simple premise: take two 20-card faction decks, shuffle them into a combined 40-card deck, and compete to dominate more Bases than your opponents. Each faction offers distinct abilities and strategies: Pirates excel at moving cards, Zombies can resurrect cards from the discard pile, and Dinosaurs boast immense power, among others.

As you play, you aim to exert the most power on a Base with your minions when the Base breaks. However, achieving this is no easy feat. Opponents might deploy Alien-Ninjas to relocate your minions or Pirates to unleash King Rex for devastating attacks. Wizard-Zombies might suddenly flood a Base with minions from the discard pile, creating chaos. The game's dynamic interactions ensure that no two games are ever the same.

Points are awarded based on your rank at each Base when it breaks, with the first, second, and third places scoring progressively. Fourth place? Better luck next time! Smash Up’s eight diverse factions allow for endless combinations, making each game a fresh challenge. Whether you're playing Pirate-Aliens or Ninja-Dinosaurs, the strategic possibilities are limitless. And, of course, there’s the excitement of playing with dinosaurs equipped with laser beams!
