Courtisans

Tonight, the Queen holds a banquet that everyone will attend. Backstabbing is fair game, and no trick is too dirty if it allows you to place your favourite families in the spotlight. In Courtisans, you receive and play three cards on each of your turns. One card is played at the Queen's table to sway a family's influence, while the two other cards are played in your domain and an opponent's domain. Your goal is to choose where to best place your cards to end up with the most points and win the game!

There are 6 different families, each consisting of 15 Courtier cards. At the end of the game, families with more cards played above the line at the Queen's table will be Esteemed, earning you positive points for any of their cards in your domain. Conversely, families with more cards below the line will be Disgraced, costing you points. With special abilities on some Courtiers and secret scoring objectives for each player, Courtisans adds layers of depth and strategy to every game. It is designed to be easy to learn and suitable for 2 to 5 players, ages 8 and up, taking around thirty minutes to play.
