What is Ufouria: The Saga? Released in 1991 in Japan as Hebereke, the original Ufouria: The Saga was one of Sunsoft’s flagship titles of the 1990s. Known for its comical and surreal world, it was the starting point of an entire franchise. Over the years, the game’s characters starred in several titles spanning different genres, including Action, Fighting, Puzzle, and Racing. Despite the genre shifts, all these games maintained the series’ unique and whimsical worldview. Now, 33 years later, the game that started it all finally gets a sequel! Hebe, O-Chan, Sukezaemon, and Jennifer are back for a new adventure. Welcome back to the crazy world of Ufouria!

Storyline: Long ago, in a time unknown to us, there existed a world called Ufouria, inhabited by four distinct species living together in peace. But this harmony was shattered when the evil alien Utsujin landed with ambitions to take over the planet. Using his ‘Bumyons’ to spread chaos, Utsujin begins his sinister plan. Finding this very uncool, Hebe and his friends O-Chan, Sukezaemon, and Jennifer embark on an adventure to stop Utsujin and restore peace to Ufouria.
