The Iceborne expansion builds on Monster Hunter World, starting with a brand new story that takes place after the main game and brings players to a new cold location called Hoarfrost Reach.

This snow-covered site offers a new ecosystem.

This is completely in contrast with the main game, which further extends the story.

Hoarfrost Reach is going to be the largest area so far and it gives hunters a wealth of new content with even more missions than in the original release.

Iceborne also introduces a new higher difficulty level called Master Rank, a brand new quest tier that makes new and existing monsters more wild than ever.

The extreme cold is also the setting in which you encounter new chilly monsters such as the horned brutal Wyvern Banbaro and the snow-covered Beotodus.

They are interwoven with recurring favourites such as the newest member of the Monster Hunter: World lineup: the fast-attacking Nargacuga that adds some new tricks to its signature moveset.

In Iceborne, the mysterious new monster Velkhana takes the lead, an older dragon with powerful ice attacks that poses a constant threat through the story.

To prepare players for the fierce yachts of this expansion, several new gameplay options have been added to players' combat repertoire, enabling new hunting strategies.

The Sling can now be used while holding the main weapon, regardless of the type of weapon.

New features for the Sling have also been added such as the Clutch Claw that is used to grab monsters with more control and the Flinch Shot with which Sling ammunition is discharged to stun monsters.

Each of the 14 weapon types also gets new combos and new elements, giving the combat more depth.

Monster Hunter WorldMonster Hunter World introduces a living, breathing ecosystem in which players take on the role of a hunter who tracks down and kills bloodthirsty beasts.

Go on an adventure alone or with up to three other hunters in a new online drop-in multiplayer system that allows cooperative multiplayer between Japanese and Western players, uniting the global player base for the first time ever.

Monster Hunter World sends you out on quests to battle frightening monsters and improve your skills.

Loot that you collect from defeated enemies can be used to create new equipment and armor upgrades as you move seamlessly through the different habitats.

The landscape and the various residents play a crucial role and you can use it strategically to your advantage.

Hunters will have to use their brains, skills and environment to survive the intense and evolving battles as they fight to become the ultimate hunter!
